We had carpet installed in our basement. The carpet looks great, the installer did great. I am very happy with the installer. As a matter of fact we're thinking about hiring him independently with as good a job as he did. However, those with whom I worked with at the store always seemed to have personal problems come up that interfered with professionalism. We had decided on one carpet, then a week later come to find out that the sales agent forgot to write down the carpet that we had picked out. So, I went in and re-picked a carpet, then a few days later we were told that Mohawk is sold out of all of the colors of this one carpet we had wanted, so we had to go pick out another carpet. This is about three weeks in from when we initially started the quote. During this time I had to call and remind them to do their job a few times in reference to the estimate, because I had not received promised call backs or an initial quote in a timely manner. I had also scheduled an estimate for another home we own, and the sales agent just outright forgot to meet me. No call, nothing. Said she got caught up for three hours with another customer, so, at best, the place doesn't have very good organization and lacks the professionalism to call a customer and let them know that plans had changed. Once we finally got an install date.... which I had to call repeatedly to get, they were two hours late before I got a call that the lady who was supposed to meet the installer at the warehouse had some personal problems and they were running late. I understand personal problems... but, as a small business owner myself, I also understand that a phone call wouldn't take more than a minute just to maintain the integrity of the business and to plain out be polite. At any rate, carpet is finally done, but from now on I will be going with North Georgia Floors and Restoration in Clarkesville, GA. Much more well-run and better prices.
